Quality Stopwatches for Time Study

Production Technology is pleased to offer quality stopwatches designed specifically for time study application and also general timing use. Now available in the three styles shown below, these types of watches have been used for time study applications by Industrial Engineers for decades. They are accurate, finely finished, reliable, and very reasonably priced!

The Model 107D shown at left is a decimal timer with time out and fly-back return. The smallest increment is 1/100 of a minute, with a 30-minute register. One complete revolution of the large hand is one minute. Start, stop, and restart by successive depressions of the crown. Return to zero by depressing the button adjacent to the crown. When hands are in motion, the side button returns them to zero and the watch continues running. When the hands are at rest, the side button simply returns to zero. An excellent watch for quickly measuring successive cycles using the "snapback" technique. The Model 107D is only $89 plus $7 ($12 International) shipping and insurance. The Model 111 shown at right is another decimal timer with time out. As with the model above, the smallest increment is 1/100 of a minute, with a 30-minute register and a one minute complete revolution of the dial. Start, stop, and restart by successive depressions of the crown. The slide adjacent to the crown functions to stop the watch at a specific point and then restart at that point. This allows the time study observer to stop for an interruption and then resume the study. The slide action is also quieter than the fly-back button, which might be desirable in certain production situations. Also an excellent watch for "snapback" time study applications. The Model 111 is only $109 plus $7 ($12 International) shipping and insurance. SORRY, THIS MODEL HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED FOR 2014.

For those needing a general-purpose timer graduated in seconds, the Model 107 shown at left is ideal. The smallest increment is 1/5 of a second with major divisions of one second, and a 30-minute register. One complete revolution of the large hand is one minute (60 seconds). Start, stop, and restart by successive depressions of the crown. Return to zero by depressing the button adjacent to the crown. When hands are in motion, the side button returns them to zero and the watch continues running. When the hands are at rest, the side button simply returns to zero. An excellent general purpose watch which displays readings in seconds. The Model 107 is only $89 plus $7 ($12 International) shipping and insurance. • No plastic parts.
  • A full one-year limited warranty.

About decimal minute watches:

The faces of the watches shown divide the minute into 100 decimal parts, hence the term "decimal minutes." The division is used primarily for time study purposes and facilitates recap and analysis of recorded times when converting the data into labor standards or production rates. Most cheap plastic "sports" stopwatches today read in seconds and are totally unsuited to time study work. They do not have a rapid fly-back or "snapback" feature, making it very difficult to rapidly record successive work cycle times. These quality watches are easy to read and use and are superior for the work measurement task.

If you prefer a watch that reads in seconds, the Model 107 may be suited to your need.
